As the saying goes, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder."
This means that beauty is a relative concept - what one person finds beautiful
may not be the same for someone else. Webster defines beauty as the quality
present in a thing or person that gives intense pleasure or deep satisfaction
to the mind, whether arising from sensory manifestations.
In this spirit, I'd like to share with you some vintage
postcards featuring beautiful Filipinas from the past. These women's beauty was
captured by cameras and preserved in time, and I find them truly captivating.
Each postcard tells a story of a bygone era, and it's fascinating to see how
beauty standards have changed over time.
All of these postcards are real photo postcards from the
early 1900s to the 1930s, and they have been carefully stored in albums, waiting
to be discovered and admired. I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I did
- it's a true testament to the beauty of Filipina women and the power of
photography to capture fleeting moments in time.
Maraming salamat. Napakagandang pagmasdan ang mga lumang larawan ng ating mga ninuno. Napakayaman ng kasaysayan ng ating bansang sinilangan. Ang Pilipinas.Mabuhay.
ReplyDeleteSalamat. Magaling at maganda ang pinanggalingan natin.
ReplyDeleteI'm interested on the history of how this collection came about. How initially compiled it, was it taken from old defunct studios? Because it seems that way (otherwise the collection would've had varied pictures and subjects).
