COLLECTOR  is defined  as “a person who collects or amasses objects as a hobby”.

By training I am an architect but by heart I am a full-blooded collector.  I got this collecting bug from my father who is also a collector of stamps, coins, paper money and ephemera. I collect mostly Filipiniana memorabilia but I also collect few foreign items.

I was 14 years old when I started collecting Ninoy Aquino political pins and later Cory Aquino pins.  Later on, I developed an interest in comics, stamps, postcards, boy scout memorabilia, vintage toys, books, magazines maps, political memorabilia, medals, trade cards, records, Philippine coins and banknotes.

This blog is my journey to the wonderful world of collecting.

  1. You should visit the Museum at Villa Escudero (boundary of San Pablo City and Tiaong). Bong Estiva

  2. Thanks Bong for your suggestion... I have been there and the collection at Villa Escudero is fantastic. I am glad that they were able to preserve for future generation to see and appreciate.

  3. Hi, I was wondering if you could help me with a Marcos memorabilia. It's a pewter presentation box with the presidential seal (in gold) at the center of the top lid and an etched greeting saying "Best Wishes, President and Mrs. Ferdinand E. Marcos. The Box is made by Selangor Pewter of Malaysia. This was given to a former President of Caterpillar, Illinois. Anyway, I wanted to know if you know the value of this item. I can send you a picture if that will help. Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks! -Paolo
